2019 Regular Elections

Senators and alternates were elected for the next three-year Senate term (July 1, 2019 – June 30, 2022) during the 2018–19 academic year:

  • Nominations: Oct 22 – Dec 7, 2018
  • Elections: Mar 4 – April 4, 2019 Mar 5 – April 8, 2019 (revised due to snow day). Ballots were sent to eligible voters at their Pratt email addresses using Election Runner
  • Officers were elected at the April 23, 1pm meeting of the Senate-elect

Candidates & Ballot Information

Confirmed nominees for each position are listed below along with links to candidate statements, where available. For a combined list of all statements, please see the voter guide. In cases of uncontested elections in which the number of candidates is less than or equal to the number of seats, candidates are deemed the winners of an uncontested election and no ballots are distributed.

Department Senators

Each department has at least one senator and one alternate, elected by and from its faculty and teaching staff. Large departments (in this election, those with more than 75 faculty) have one additional senator and alternate. Constituents belonging to more than one department are allowed to participate in the election of each department in which they hold teaching appointments.
